I like the concept of artificial life as a storyline as well, I just wish this arc would be more consistent in bringing it out. My main problem has been that non main characters are just fodder. (has been the case since shippuden tbh) Its really upsetting when in the original anime, it seemed like there was a greater life or death risk to everything, and things like jonin, anbu black ops, etc actually meant you were in the top % of ninja.. At least the Cho Cho arc had the good grace to only last a couple of episodes, whereas we are, what, 5 6 episodes deep in the Mitsuki arc and all we have is: 1.) The Garaga contract that felt like an asspull that even Shippuden would blush at, probably the worst crime of this arc. (It ruined summoning contracts..
